No UMD Pass in North America
Sony has stated that there will be no UMD passport available in North America. This means that Psp owner will not be able to play their UMD games on Sony's new Vita.
This may have come as a shock to people, as a lot of Psp owners were expecting Sony to let them port across their older Psp games to the Vita. However this is looking less and less likely to ever happen.
When the Ps3 first launched, Sony declared that it would run the majority of Ps2 games, therefore making it a backward compatible machine, later models have seen this compatibility taken out. Perhaps Sony rather than confusing the issue with the Vita, have opted to take the straight forward route of not having the backward compatibility in the first place.
